Hi am Julia and today you gonna now some things about me . I am from Argentina and I lived in Argentina for 9 years. I speak Spanish  English , Maori , and a tiny bit of  Korean , Japanese, Portuguese and French . I like play football  , do gymnastics , draw be with my friends do some maths, spend time with my family ,play game boards , go to the shopping , play with cats , cook , and spend time in instagram . My favourite colour it’s white baby blue, baby pink and baby purple. My favourite animal are cats. My favourite sport is  football. My favourite food is Ramen katsubi  and mcDonald’s. My favourite hobby it’s go to the mall play football and cook with my dad or mum or alone. I go to rawhiti school. And am my birthday it’s in the 2 , January.I am 10 years old so am year 6. And my friends are Abby , Pippa , Zita , Eliza , Daisy , Maicie , Charli and Mia .

for literacy we are doing a robot that clean the ocean and i make this

Information about the robot:

This is a robot that moves on the bottom of the sea with a glue not toxic and arms to grab the big rubbish and does not hurt animals. And they have a mouth to eat the rubbish . And her eyes are camera to see if the animals are hurt and send help.

For art I had to make a drawing that represents my whano and i did 7 korus my dad my mom my aunt my cat my dog my brother and me. After choosing who is going to be in my drawing, look for koru photos in google and I made the koru in pencil and then I highlighted it with lid and painted with the colours that I liked the most. Then I had to make lines in the back to have a guide to cut. I chose a colour that I liked to make waves and I made lines with pencil and cut to be able to make the waves. And all that took me week 1, 3, 55

For Monday mashup I do pet rock and the first step it’s chose 4 pet rocks that you like it and chose one to make it and I chose the minion because my favourite movie it’s the minions and he’s name it’s King  bob because he is a king in the movie 2 .  First I painted everything yellow and I made the clothes glazed eyes and hair. After that I started designing my minion’s house and I chose a square box and I created the bed, the pillow, the sofa, the TV, the oven, the table and a small table next to the  bed . I took a photo and uploaded it to my blog.

For literacy we have to create  a way to use rainwater or sewage or how to recycle paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. And i chose how to recycle water.

My way of recycling rainwater it’s take the water from the drain and put the water in a big filter to clean the water in recycled plastic water bottles and sell .

And my other idea is to have a filter that does not have a roof or a lid ,so that rainwater can be filtered in the filter. And put the water in water bottles recycled and sell.

Yesterday i did whit charli  us road play  to follow so that we do not make mistakes and to know what we had to do at each moment of the video. When we had everything ready, we showed the video  to Rachel and he told us that it was fine and that we had to make the video and we asked him if he could record the video for us and he said yes. we started recording the video and we decided that it was going to be with not rules and we started to make the video when we finished it we edited it on the ipad we sent it to the chrombook to be able to put it on our blog .

For art we do a bird art :

My group are Aria , Charli and me and we made a kea parrot.  I did the gluing, Aria did a cutting , and Charli did the  shape the feather.  We did this for  2 week’s every Thursday in art time. First we looked at the colours of the kea parrot and we saw that there were 4 colours yellow, brown, dark brown and green. We used a marker to make the feet and after this we do the background. We put the bird in there and after that I cut the kea to put on the background. Here are the results:

On tuesday 13 pf june tawhirimatea planted trees whit my buddy, Macie

Why is Arbor Day commemorated ? because the trees it’s so important in our lives.

what’s the Arbor Day?  the arbor day it’s a day to celebrate trees

why it’s important for the enviroment  trees? because the trees give us oxygen , give home to animals  , give us fruit ,and give us wood .

First we got a bag and put some compost/soil on the bottom. Next we added the plant and some more soil. We put some weed mat on top and then put more soil on top. We put the seedlings with the other plants. I planted 4 altogether.
